Dare to be confident.

You belong here just as much as anyone else.

My Story.

In 1998, Julissa K. Gachett from Whiteville, North Carolina, experienced a house fire that resulted in her family losing everything. Whereas she also suffered from burns to over 93% of her body and endured numerous surgeries within her recovery and rehabilitation.

Over the years, depression developed from her questioning of “beauty” and the doubt doctors expressed in her future abilities to stand, walk or conceive a child. To date, Julissa is an owner of a natural hair care salon where she serves as Master Stylist and Natural Hair Care Instructor. She is also a loving and active mother of three handsome boys that are 100% healthy. Therefore, she stands in confidence to decry how life with God works.

Against all odds, Julissa has proven the “impossible” to be possible by walking in faith while restoring her confidence and wishes to see others do the same.

Understanding the trials and tribulations that result from such a catastrophe, she decided to create a foundation that would focus on helping adolescent burn victims realize there is always a brighter side to every situation.

Remember, all it takes is a “Leap of Faith.”

If you face your flaws, you’ll notice the change.

Be you, confidently.

It takes a village.
